One of the people leading that charge is Sudeshan Mudali aka Suds, our Go-To-Market Lead based in Melbourne. With 10+ years in tech and five startups under his belt, he’s seen how digital transformation can reshape industries and he’s on a mission to make sure construction doesn’t get left behind.
We sat down with Suds to learn more about his journey to Deep Space
“As a young teen during the internet and digital revolution of the mid-2000s, I quickly realised the profound impact technology would have on our society. Experiencing it as a consumer in those early years revealed how technology could enable self-expression in countless ways, a few Dreamweaver websites and customised profile pages later, and I was hooked!”
“It got me thinking: if I could experience this type of fulfilment from consuming technology, what would it feel like to help create it? With a conviction to impact change, I embarked on my tech journey. 10 years and five startups later, I couldn’t see my life any other way.”
That journey led him through fintech, agritech, and eventually contech, where he’s spent recent years helping businesses embrace smarter digital solutions.
“I’m at Deep Space because we share a mutual belief that the construction industry urgently needs solutions that drive meaningful change through innovative market strategies, data integration, and automation.”
“Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working across various industries, each less digitised than the last. That experience deepened my appreciation for the transformative impact of digital tools. My journey through fintech, agritech, and most recently contech has reinforced the importance of getting these solutions right delivering real value to customers.”
“This isn’t just crucial for the industry as a whole but also for every individual user. Many have witnessed revolutions in their fields as technology continues to embed itself. I take pride in being able to confidently tell customers that we’ve done the work to truly understand what value means to them and in following through by delivering solutions that genuinely create change.”

Outside of work, he’s busy settling into Melbourne, exploring the city, and making the most of his downtime with golf and basketball.
“I’d definitely be teaching golf. I’ve always found enjoyment in understanding the mechanics of a golf swing and applying that to all the different swings out there. Of course, having an office on a golf course helps!”
That attention to detail, understanding mechanics, refining techniques, and improving outcomes runs through everything he does. Whether it’s golf or construction tech, he’s always looking for smarter, more efficient ways to do things.
“I enjoy a clear desktop with images of dramatic landscapes. Something about seeing a great view keeps me relaxed while I’m working or taking a quick break. I have this amazing mountain-top wallpaper on my desktop at the moment.”
💡 Favourite tool?
“It’s simple, but I’d have to say my Notes app. It’s the place where all my thoughts come together. I definitely couldn’t live without it!”
⌨️ Favourite hotkey?
“CMD + Shift + Arrows. It makes editing text so much faster.”
✈️ Favourite place to visit?
“Tahiti. The pure relaxation there is unmatched.”
“The best advice for breaking into ConTech is to be the most curious person in the room. As the industry transitions away from analog workflows, it’s undergoing massive change. That creates countless opportunities for success but also many challenges often caused by poorly understood requirements and a lack of customer empathy.”
“By staying curious, asking plenty of questions, and, most importantly, truly listening to customers, you’ll give yourself the best chance of thriving in this exciting and dynamic space.”
